- Need to make rapid changes to a central database in order to facilitate supplier payments.
- Process is now split between outsourced operation and in-house teams with a global scope.

Project Scope
- Replace existing ‘ad hoc' solution based around an Excel spread sheet and email with a full IBM Business Process Manager (formerly Websphere Lombardi Edition) automated process.
- Optimised process to reduce effort and complexity, particularly in authorisation and quality checking steps.
- Set up process to ensure fast tracking of work - automatic timers ensure delayed tasks are re-allocated.
- Encapsulated system complextiy, data entry staff will use the same process and user interface for all products in all geographies. Eliminated errors and paved the way for a global roll out.
